VegfestUK Events<\/strong><\/p>

VegfestUK came into existence back in Bristol in 2003, with the launch of the Bristol Vegan Fayre \u2013 the first event of its kind to mix up veganism with rock-\u2018n-roll and a festival vibe. The success of the Bristol Vegan Fayre was the inspiration behind many of the vegan events in the UK since then, including our own further events in Brighton, Glasgow and London organised by our team.<\/p>

VegfestUK has put on around 40 vegan festivals across the UK over the last 2 decades, bringing under one roof a cornucopia of utterly delectable vegan food, drinks, clothing, footwear, cosmetics, skincare, jewellery, magazines, on top of an illustrious list of special guests, headliners and comedians, alongside some truly unforgettable talks, cookery demos, kids activities, live performances and yoga classes, and not to mention lots and lots of big smiles and potentially life-changing festivals encouraging everyone to follow a vegan way of life.<\/p>

In addition, we host the VegfestUK Awards, which celebrate the best vegan products in the UK.<\/p>

When the first UK national lockdown happened due to COVID-19, we were able to adapt to various online events featuring speakers, chefs, musicians and activists from all around the world, including day-long summits focusing on topics such as Wildlife, AR Activism, Health & Fitness.<\/p>

Our latest ventures launched in 2021 have been two free online magazines \u2013 Forca Vegan Magazine & Plant Powered Planet Magazine.<\/p>

The Magazines<\/strong><\/p>

Forca Vegan is a free online magazine, the first issue of which was published in March 2021. The magazine joins up a growing global grassroots vegan movement with reports from around the planet, alongside features on activists, animal sanctuaries, new vegan businesses, vegan artists, comedians and musicians, with an additional roundup of new vegan food, skincare and Lifestyle products, plus news of online and live events. The magazine focuses mainly on independents, grassroots and individuals with a strong and unapologetic ethical vegan position and animal rights focus. Forca Vegan will help amplify a growing number of vegan voices from around the world and draw attention to a number of issues that we all share, along with information, inspiration and education to help tackle the challenges. <\/p>

Plant Powered Planet issue 1 was published in May 2021. The magazine focuses on health, lifestyle, products, fitness, animal welfare, conservation, global food supply, the environment, agriculture, innovation and solutions to climate change. Plant Powered Planet has a more mainstream, consumer lifestyle feel to it, whilst still underpinned by a strong ethical vegan position alongside ethical consumer choices and issues surrounding them. A variety of leading vegan individuals achieving on a number of levels do and will continue to make up the main substance of the editorial content, and Plant Powered Planet will carry more advertising and paid features in its content. Plant Powered Planet will also provide us with a platform to get behind small vegan businesses including the Vegan Traders Union and provide support as they emerge from the impact of lockdown and help showcase a number of new vegan products, projects and initiatives to a growing readership.<\/p>

\u201cWe are really inspired to be able to continue working on promoting the vegan lifestyle in absence of our natural home \u2013 live events\u201d adds VegfestUK manager Tim Barford. \u201cWe anticipate a return to Olympia at the end of 2022 at the earliest, and that is dependent on overcoming significant hurdles, not least funding and insurance. To work on 2 new magazines for 2021 and 2022 is a real bonus, providing us with a unique mix of creative activism that in some respects more than compensates for the lack of a live event. In particular we can showcase some truly inspiring people, projects and products, and continue to bring the many facets and benefits of veganism and plant based diets to a fresh and widening audience.\u201d<\/p>
